Meet some of the team at LACOSTA Facility Support Services below:

Karla Mota Johnson

President & Owner

Karla Mota Johnson

Karla Johnson has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and passion for people that have proven to be key drivers of LACOSTA’s success. Inspired by her mother and father’s property management and cleaning business in the 70s, Karla founded LACOSTA in 1987 and has been steadily growing the company since. Karla attended Ripon College for her undergraduate degree before attending Northwestern’s Executive MBA program.

Her Superpower: she was called the Queen of Clean by her early customers and was even gifted white inspection gloves.

Rob Johnson

Principal & Owner

Rob Johnson

Rob joined LACOSTA over 30 years ago and has excelled in various roles from site operations to senior leadership. He attended the University of Illinois before joining the Facility Services Industry in the late 80s. As one of LACOSTA’s most humble team members, Johnson has exceptional knowledge and experience in the industry… But you’ll never hear him bragging about it.

His Superpower: he’s a pilot!

Jeff Johnson

National Business Resource Director

Jeff Johnson

Jeff joined LACOSTA in 2011 as a Lean Process Coordinator, but quickly earned his operational stripes when he was tapped to fill a District Manager position. After 2.5 years of managing delivery in LACOSTA’s Midwest District, he was promoted to Regional Director before becoming the National Sales Director in 2017. He is currently responsible for managing all sales and marketing functions across the company. Jeff graduated from the University of Kentucky where he majored in communications and minored in English.

His Superpower: price breakout wizardry!

Mia Wang

Director of Administrative Services & Finance

Mia Wang

An expert in everything from SOX/JSOX compliance to documentary writing, Mia brings a unique and diverse set of skills to LACOSTA’s team. She has advanced certifications in Excel, Power BI and Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA). Mia earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Loyola University (magna cum laude) an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and accounting from Roosevelt University.

Her Superpower: the ability to come up with improved solutions for work while taking an ice water shower for 15 minutes.

Jason Glatz

Senior District Manager

Jason Glatz

With over 12 years of experience in the Facility Support Services industry, Jason is an invaluable member of the LACOSTA team. He is certified for OSHA 10 and has earned his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Jason graduated with a B.S. in Sports Management from Lewis University and earned his masters in Business Management & Sports Leadership from Concordia University of Chicago.

His Superpower: the ability to remove years of dirt and grime buildup in one glance, and run faster than germicidal bacteria can spread.

Mike Parks

Senior District Manager

Mike Parks

With a degree in business from The University of Mississippi, Mike has 21 years of experience in contract labor services and 15 years in finance. Mike has worked with the LACOSTA team for 13 years. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and in OSHA 10 and 30 standards.

His Superpower: the ability to spot problems just by walking a site.

Mayra Ambriz

Recruiting & HR Manager

Mayra Ambriz

As an experienced Human Resources professional, Mayra brings honed expertise to the recruitment and management of LACOSTA’s team. Mayra earned an associates degree in criminal justice and is a certified paralegal.

Her Superpower: the ability to look beyond team goals to support the bigger picture and crushing workloads.

Alejandra Garza

Accounting Manager

Alejandra Garza

Alejandra started with LACOSTA in December of 2016 as a Staff Accountant. As a talented, dedicated team member, she quickly learned the ropes and was soon promoted to Accounting Manager. Alejandra earned her B.S. in Commerce: Business Administration (cum laude) from DePaul University.

Her Superpower: seeing the positive in everyone.

Kyle Marnell

IT Specialist – System Process Improvement Specialist

Kyle Marnell

Kyle started at LACOSTA as a Sales Administrator, but was soon made a System Process Improvement Specialist due to his expertise in IT. He works closely with every department across the corporate and field management teams. Kyle is currently attending Harper College to further his education.

His Superpower: extreme patience.

Raj Kaur

Raj has worked with LACOSTA for over 7 years and excels at sourcing and retaining exceptional talent for LACOSTA and its clients. With an MBA from Northcentral University and experience in the education field, Raj brings a diverse wealth of knowledge to the LACOSTA team.

Her Superpower: the ability to find the perfect employee for an open position while standing on one leg.

Yahaira Espinoza

Marketing & Communications Specialist

Yahaira Espinoza

With extensive experience in training and development, Yahaira specializes in training program design, as well as LMS development and administration.

Her Superpower: super speed and the ability to create training modules like there’s no tomorrow.

Danni Cantu

Sales & Contract Administrator

Danni Cantu

As one of the newest members of LACOSTA, Danni joined the team in 2019 and has proven to be a valuable employee in her short time here. She previously worked as a cosmetologist and has exceptional customer service skills.

Her Superpower: the ability to see through the legal jargon in a service agreement with her x-ray vision.

Rebeca Martinez

As one of the newest members of LACOSTA, Rebeca joined the team in 2019. She brings several years of administrative and customer service experience to the team.

Her Superpower: the ability to find the perfect employee due to supernatural endurance powered by 24/7 caffeine consumption.

Shelby Rivera is another new member of our team who brings her knowledge of human services to our hiring process.

Mariano Mercado

Mariano Mercado

Mariano joined the LACOSTA team 9 months ago. With a Bachelor’s in Public Health with an emphasis on Healthcare Administration and previous recruiting experience, Mariano brings a fresh viewpoint to the sales team.

His Superpower: his voice is loud enough that he can be heard anywhere, even if you cover your ears!

Brenda is one of our brand-new Recruiter Administrators. With relevant coursework in Human Resources and previous experience in administrative and hiring positions, Brenda is well-poised to grow LACOSTA alongside our team.

Vidalia Molina

Vidalia Molina

As a valued member of the financial team at LACOSTA, Vidalia is a Payroll Supervisor who has been at the company for 3 years. She brings unique experience to the team with certifications in customer service and medical assistance.

Her Superpower: spotting the missed punches and closing payroll for 1,000+ employees on a weekly basis.

Kahina Zanoune

With a Master’s in Statistics and Applied Economics, Kahina is a three-year veteran at LACOSTA. Our financial team benefits from Kahina’s prior experience in janitorial, cleaning and labor services.

Her Superpower: finding a solution for every problem.

Lesley Salvon

Accounts Receivable Representative

Lesley Salvon

A tenured member of our LACOSTA team, Lesley has been with the company for 12 years. Before joining the team, Lesley received a Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University, then spent some time in Texas and Colorado in sales support and customer admin roles.

Her Superpower: as a LACOSTA recycling queen, she isn’t opposed to pulling stuff out of the garbage in order to recycle.
