What is an Office Deep Clean?

At LACOSTA, we pride ourselves on offering a wide array of great services to each and every one of our clients. Deep cleaning is yet another one of those services.

In this article, we will discuss what exactly deep cleaning is, as well as what your business can expect from a deep cleaning.

How is an Office Deep Clean Different from Regular Cleaning?

Regular office cleaning is a day-to-day process that focuses on daily upkeep. Daily cleaning involves tasks like vacuuming, cleaning doorknobs and other handles, wiping down conference tables, cleaning the restrooms, and replacing trash liners.

Deep cleaning is a periodic process, as opposed to a daily process. The interval between each deep cleaning typically depends on the level of usage an office sees; however, it is common to see deep cleanings scheduled at least monthly, bi-annually, and annually. It is essential to maintaining a clean, healthy, and productive workplace environment, and it involves a much more intense level of cleaning than the general day-to-day routine of office cleaning.

What Does an Office Deep Cleaning Consist Of?

What precisely a deep office cleaning entails depends on the worksite itself, since each and every worksite is different and has different needs. However, the following are the general targets of deep office cleaning.

Targeting Additional Surfaces and Appliances

With daily office cleaning, it is impossible to clean every surface. Instead, janitorial teams focus on high-touch points, such as doorknobs, that people frequently contact. During an office deep clean, we focus on thoroughly cleaning each surface, particularly those that are hard to reach, like dusting high window sills, and more. This also means thoroughly cleaning furniture like cabinets and cupboards.

While these areas don’t need to be cleaned each and every day, it is still important to clean them periodically. As such, cleaning these surface areas periodically prevents dirt and germs’ build-up and ensures a clean, sanitary office environment year-round.

Washing and Vacuuming Floors

While daily office cleaning typically involves washing and vacuuming floors, a deep cleaning goes a step further. During a deep cleaning, it is typical to remove all the furniture from rooms so as to maximize surface area coverage during cleaning. This allows us to reach close-off and entrapped areas that accumulate dust and dirt.

Appliances and light fixtures are two additional areas that often accumulate dust and dirt over time. During a deep clean, we make sure to clean these areas as well. In essence, we leave no area unturned.

A Type of Site Audit

At LACOSTA, we are constantly auditing our work, trying to see how we can improve. Deep cleanings allow for a very close inspection of the entire worksite environment since we are responsible for cleaning every nook and cranny. If we see areas that need additional cleaning on a more regular basis, we’ll make a note of it. That way, not only are we deep cleaning the worksite, but improving our day-to-day servicing of the worksite as well!

Deep Cleaning During COVID-19

There is no doubt that cleaning has become even more incredibly important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only is cleaning important for keeping employees safe and healthy in the workplace environment, but the presence of cleaning crews doing a great job is also crucial for signaling to employees and ensuring them that your company cares and is doing everything it possibly can to keep them safe during this turbulent time.

LACOSTA has been proud to be a partner across a multitude of industries and worksites during this pandemic, where we have been able to adjust and alter our cleaning services to meet the evolving needs of each and every client during this pandemic.

Deep cleaning is just one more thing that is even more important during the pandemic. Deep cleaning is integral to making sure we are covering all the areas in a worksite and maintaining a healthy and clean worksite.

So far, our clients, and we, as a result, could not be more pleased with how we have been able to adapt to this global health crisis:

“LACOSTA is a critical component of keeping our facility open during the pandemic. You protect us from illness that would cripple our operation during a time our product is needed most. I cannot thank you enough for the solid work and personal dedication I have seen from the entire LACOSTA Team, even to the point of scouring local stores for supplies. Your performance has been outstanding and commendable.” – Campbell’s Soup Company.

It is client reviews and testimonials like this that make our job all the more worthwhile. During our decades in the industry, it has been a true pleasure to become an integral part of the team at so many worksites.
