Everyone loves a day off. With no work responsibilities, a day of doing things you enjoy can help you reset so you go back to work feeling refreshed and energized. On the other hand, if you overschedule and don’t take ME TIME, you might be more tired and frustrated when Monday comes!

Knowing how to rest and relax is a skill, and it can be hard for some people to find out what helps them recharge. 

That’s why we put together a list of a few activities you can do on your day off, so you can get the most out of your free time.

  • Get your living space in order- Sure, it may not be super fun to run your errands and do chores on a day off, but getting items off of your personal to-do list reduces stress and frustration when you’re at work. Knowing that your personal side is in order helps create calm. 
  • Move– For most people, work can be tiring making it hard to exercise during the work week! Why not take advantage of your free time and give your body a workout. Even if it’s a five-minute jog around the block, it’ll get your blood pumping. 
  • Sleep- A tried and true way to take the edge off, use your day off to catch up on some sleep.  Just make sure you don’t ruin your normal sleep schedule!
  • Have fun-Do something you enjoy with other people you enjoy.
